SKYSIL®
Hydrophobic Silica

SKYSIL models S10A/S17 precipitated silica are hydrophobic (i.e., not wetted by water), possess high methanol wetting and low surface area. Due to their high efficiency and ease of dispersion, they are widely used in various defoamers.

Application Areas

Lubricant field: high-efficiency lubricating additive, reducing adhesion, fills voids, boosts wear resistance, ensures long-lasting lubricity.

Defoamer field: strong hydrophobicity and nano-porous structure enable fast bubble breaking, long-lasting foam inhibition and system stability, no substrate performance impact.
